Emotional Intelligence (EI) has become a popular theory. Some researchers suggest leadership is emotional; therefore, Emotional Intelligence Theory and Leadership go hand in hand. Also, as organizations strive to promote inclusiveness and diversity, embracing various personalities is critical.

Using research, in a 3-4-page paper (5-6 including title and reference pages), address the following:

The history and background of Emotional Intelligence (EI).
Provide contrarian (opposing) views of EI from at least two people. In other words, provide two people who do not believe EI is a legitimate theory.
Your personal view, thoughts, and considerations. Do you buy EI theory or do you agree with the contrarian views, why or why not? Ways a leader can display emotional intelligence. Support your view based on the research you conduct.
The importance of understanding and embracing various personalities.
Your personal ability to embrace diverse personalities in your current or future leadership situations. Assess yourself.
