Computer Virus

The report will be based directly on your engagement with the Forensics & Security subject matter. This is an assessment that will begin to develop your understanding of Forensics & Security as well as your ability to communicate and work effectively as a team.

Your report should have the following outline and content:

Introduction
Begin your report with a brief introduction as to how your topic fits into your groups broader subject area and what the report contains.
Research
An overview of the topic, including how it works/can be implemented, showing a depth of technical understanding.
Legal and Regulatory
A summary and review of relevant legal and regulatory aspects relevant to your chosen area. This should include how the legal and regulatory aspect affects or governs your chosen subject area and/or, if applicable, how it can be used to prosecute criminal activity or protect users/businesses.
News Articles/Stories
A summary of relevant news articles/stories that relate to your chosen subject that help to put into context the importance and, if applicable, the significant impact your subject area has on the digital world
Conclusion
Conclude your report with a summary of your findings, and the implications for forensics/security or future technology/users.
References
Harvard references, each of which should be cited within your report. I recommend using a bibliographic tool, such as Zotero.

The report should be 1,500 words (not including title or bibliography pages. You will be penalised for a report in excess of +/- 10% of the word count). This is a report and not an essay and is therefore factual not your opinion, anything you say must be supported by references the report must also be written in third person. All parts of the report must be your own work and sources should be fully referenced using the Harvard Referencing style; refer to http://skillsforlearning.leedsbeckett.ac.uk/Quote_Unquote.pdf for Leeds Beckett referencing guidelines. The usual university regulations on plagiarism apply.
