This paper is going to be a purpose of statement.
I want to do my second master’s degree in Sports Management at this time.
I’m doing my first masters’ degree in Sport Psychology, and I feel I want to learn more about business aspects of sports.
My background is Chemistry in undergrad, and I came to the States about 6 years ago. I was really interested in Nutrition and Fitness, so I finished my certificate of achievement in Nutrition and Fitness. I wanted to do my master’s in Nutrition & Exercise Physiology, but I ended up doing in Sport Psychology, but I’m really enjoying it.
The reason why I want to do my second mater’s degree in Sport Management is I want to learn more business aspects of sports. My ultimate goal is being sports psychology consultant, but I feel little bit the lack of knowledge of coaching part is kind of hindering my goals. I totally love counseling part with athletes. That’s what I want to do it eventually. However, since I have a lack of knowledge of coaching part, I’m looking for other path/job that I can use all my background (Chemistry, Nutrition, Fitness, Sport Psychology, Biology, Exercise Physiology). I still want to work with sports teams/athletes as a mentor/counselor. I want to gain more information/knowledge to help the athletes. and on top of that I want to get a job that I can help others! That’s my top priority.
