This assignment requires that you take the opportunity to meet with either the chief executive or chief operating officer of your organization. The objective here is to ask a number of questions relating to his/her experience with management and leadership of a health care organization. You will need to schedule between 30 and 45 minutes to obtain answers to these questions. This needs to be a face-to-face conversation. The questions you need to ask are as follows:

What role do the organization\”s mission, vision, and values have in your short- and long-term operational strategy?
How would you define organizational excellence? In your opinion, which health care organizations meet this definition?
What do you think are the most important environmental opportunities and threats facing your organization?
In your estimation, what are the attributes of highly effective health care leaders?
How would you describe the overall culture of your organization? How is culture shaped here?
What are your thoughts about managing organizational change? What are the sorts of activities that you and your team do to make change processes more effective?
In your final paper, make sure to identify the executive and his/her organization.
