To succeed in this industry hospitality professionals must possess:  cultural awareness and appreciation; the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully work with a diverse group of individuals; an understanding of the industry from a global perspective. Assignment Directions: Use the Internet to locate an international trade fair, exhibition or conference (this event must be held in a country outside the United States). Note the book provides a few examples and you should easily be able to find an international trade fair, exhibition or conference be doing a little Internet research.  Once you have selected an international trade fair, exhibition or conference please:  1. Provide the name of the international trade fair, exhibition or conference you selected.  2. Why did you select this event?  3. Where is this event held?  4. What is the purpose of this event?  5. Who will attend this event?  6. What do you think might be some potential benefits of holding this event in this location? Discuss.  7. What do you think might be some potential drawbacks of holding this event in this location? Discuss.  8. What are some things potential participants may want to consider when deciding whether or not to attend this event? Why?  9. What are some things a company that is considering exhibiting/participating in this event may want to consider when deciding whether or not to participate in this event? Why?  10.
