An investigation on the gender pay gap at Lloyds Bank: What median pay gap says about the company?
The dissertation intends to achieve the following objectives at the end of the study:
1. To analyse the reasons leading to the gender pay gap and what can be done to close it.
2. To explore the importance of the median pay gap to Lloyds Bank.
3. To identify how the Lloyds Bank stakeholders are affected by their gender pay gap.
The study will focus on the following dissertation questions to achieve the set objectives:
1. Why does the gender wage gap exist, and what can be done to close the gap?
2. What does the median pay gap say about Lloyds Bank?
3. How are Lloyds Bank stakeholders affected by the gender pay gap?
In terms of methodology, secondary data will be used. Moreover, the research proposed will be explanatory, by following a mixed-method approach of both quantitative and qualitative data. For theories: I have been thinking of Utilitarian Theory and Ethical Leadership, but we can think about new ones if these two are hard to refer to.
