During the previous week, you were required to organize and draft a strategic security plan (SSP) for an organization that you selected and described. Having submitted this plan, you should have received feedback from the instructor; given this feedback, revise the SSP that you created for your final course product.

One example is drawn from the school district scenario of last week’s lesson, where an identified threat was “criminal threats.” Consider the following:

Determine who can advise the organization on the types of crimes, the likelihood of certain crimes or criminals, the prevalence of these in the area, criminal activities or operations, or other relevant details regarding criminal threats to the organization.
In the case of the school district, city, county, and state law enforcement; the FBI; National Crime Statistics; and other sources might be consulted. In turn, local law enforcement should be provided details of the district’s evacuation plans and other procedures so that responses to crises at various facilities can be executed safely and effectively.
Assignment Guidelines

Complete the following:

Utilizing the feedback from your peers and instructor, revise the SSP that you created for your final course product.
As you refine your SSP, you will also identify and list, for every core component, the agencies, individuals (by position), groups, or other entities with whom each element of the SSP should be coordinated, and why.
For the purposes of this assignment, coordination includes notifications made to others and also information that is received from external sources.
If no coordination is necessary for a given element, state this explicitly.
The areas and agencies that you propose to be included for coordination should be derived from research or conversations with subject-matter experts.
Also, although your annexes do not need to be drafted in full, you were informed for last week’s assignment to identify and list what topics or activities they should cover. You are still required to list with whom they should be coordinated and why coordination applies to these notional annexes.
