Consumer Behavior in market

Question 1 (6 Marks)
Consumer behavior is an interdisciplinary area. Some of the disciplines, from micro to macro, that
work in the field include Experimental Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Developmental Psychology,
Human Ecology, Microeconomics, Social Psychology, Sociology, Macroeconomics, Semiotics,
Demography, History, and Cultural Anthropology. Select three of these disciplines as focus, ask one
consumer-related research question of each for a robot product Honda's Asimo (the humanoid robot
we have discussed in a case study), and give your speculation of the possible answers (as well as the
reasons behind) for the three questions that you asked.
Question 2 (6 Marks)
Bistro Bon, the restaurant on the ground floor of our campus’s NTT building, is popular among BU
students for lunch but not for dinner. Apply the theories of segmentation bases, criteria of targeting,
and technics of behavioral targeting to help Bistro Bon develop a new STP strategy to attract more
consumers in dinner time.
Question 3 (6 Marks)
Following is a new logo of HKBU Department of Marketing. The design of the logo contains the
following meaning: the three arrows from a “heart” to represent socially responsible marketing
exchanges among the 3Cs (Customers, Competitors, and Corporate).

Apply the theories and marketing technics that we have discussed about Consumer Perception to
answer the following questions:
(a) What can we do to help students notice and attend to the above new logo?
(b) How can we help students organize and interpret the logo in the way that we design it?
Question 4 (7 Marks)
AR Learn is a mobile application that HKBU has launched in Google Play store in order to introduce
