Every disease has a “differential diagnosis” list practitioners always work through. It doesn’t necessarily have to be another bacterial disease, but you will need to describe specifically how to tell the difference. Do not choose something that just shares symptoms, it should be a reasonable disease to consider and compare, and have testing to tell the difference.
You will need to go further in-depth than saying “serological tests”. You need to be specific.
