2) Assignment #2: Formative or Summative Assessment Description and Critiques

Candidates will create one (1) developmentally appropriate early childhood assessment (formative or summative) to assess a young child. The assessment must address a specific early childhood learning objective. Candidates will describe the assessment and its purpose, develop assessment accommodations to meet the individual needs of all students and explain why the assessment is developmentally appropriate. Candidates will then critique the assessment, addressing feasibility, strengths and weaknesses, validity, state standards and how the assessment will guide instruction and academic recommendations. No more than two (2) pages in APA.
