Managerial Abilities Review Report (10 points) (more in-depth, start early)
Due: (try to finish report before the due date)
Question 1: Professional and Academic Review (1 point)
Discuss your current professional and academic goals. Have they changed from the beginning of your graduate studies to the present time? Explain with clear examples. (at least one full paragraph.) (1 point)
(Use the same tools as in MGT 500 to assess your abilities. Give the tool to three external assessors to establish the current level of ability demonstration for each of the twenty abilities. Use the managerial abilities questionnaire and once they are completed with your self-assessment, use the directions in the resource module to complete the assessment of the scores).
Students must use the scores and tallies from the assessments to respond to questions 2 and 3.
Question 2: External Managerial Abilities Assessment (3 points)
2a: Provide an illustration with the scores from the assessment, review the scores and identify the scores and abilities that have changed the most in a paragraph below the illustration. (1.5 points) –Discussion should be at least ¾ page.
2b: Group the scores in the following categories: No change, moderate change, significant change. Discuss why the abilities in the group of “No Change” remained the same. (1.5 points) – Discussion should ¾ page.
Question 3: Self-Assessment- Use the same tool to perform a self-assessment (3pts.)
3. Compare and contrast your self-assessment scores (only) from MGT 500 to MGT 690. Comparisons must be made with a rationale and discussion for each. All of the managerial abilities must be addressed with a rationale for any changes or non-changes in the scores. The scores must be included in the address. (3 points). At least two pages.
Question 4: Recap Review and Assessment (3 points)
4a. Develop a new Recap Sheet with your scores from MGT 690. (Attach both sheets- MGT 500 and MGT 690 Sheets clearly labeled.) 1 point
4b. Paste a copy of the Recap Sheet from MGT 500 and MGT 690.
Compare and contrast your Recap Sheet from MGT 500 and MGT 690. Discuss why the selections have changed. Provide a rich discussion with examples of how the changes will impact your professional development in the industry, clearly reflecting on your professional goals. Discussion should be at least 3/4 page. (2 points).
