Assignment Description:

You will create a campaign in order to address a social issue/problem that has been affected you directly or indirectly.
Your campaign/movement must be focusing on social justice/ anti-oppression/ human rights/anti-racist, socio-economic or environmental justice principles. You may consult with your Professor for selecting your topic for this assignment. If you failed to select an appropriate topic, you might get Zero “0” for this assignment.
You will design campaign based on your learning form the Power and Social Movement course.
The campaign will be designed for 3 months period. So, consider this time frame when you are planning your campaign’s objectives and tactics.
Your campaign objectives may focus on all or few of those:
Organize community
Educate community on your selected issue
Inspire people join the broader campaign related to the issue
Mass mobilization through organize rally, sit-in, etc.
Dialogue with policy makers
Advocate for Policy change
the goal is to design a campaign considering your experience with the issue, and create a campaign using your knowledge, skills, passion, and creativity.
