Information on my house representative and congressional district map
For this paper, you will need to gather information on your representative and congressional district map using the websites I have provided. First, you will use the website “Find My House of Representative xhttps://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative. Type in your California zip code. (You may have to provide more information.) Your House of Representative’s name, picture, and link to his/her web page will appear, along with a map of your Congressional district. Make note of the number of your Congressional district: it will be a number from 1-53.STEP 3:Click on your representative’s name and you will be taken to their web page. Take note of your representative’s party identification (Democrat, Republican, Independent, etc.), the committees he/she serves on, legislation they have authored or co-authored, and any features of the district that they represent. Representative web pages differ: some may have information on their background or on their legislative work. Use what is available on the web page and write up the information you have gathered in a 3 page report (double-spaced). No footnotes or bibliography.
For the website, use the area code 91103. It will then ask you to enter an address, but you don’t have to, her name will pop up on the left corner. My representatives name is Judy Chu and there are tabs with more information once you click her name. Keep in mind, I can only use this website. Thank you!
