Abstract (150-175 words)

Introduce your disease ( full name scientific name) and give some background information. Please discuss the type of microorganism that causes the disease. Include the domain and all other classifications. Discuss how the organism was named. Note: You will discuss this disease in the paper’s main body, so do not include information to be used in the paper’s main body. Please do not discuss more than one disease caused by this pathogen. You must have a thesis statement here. If graphics are included, indicate that they are located at the end of the report (on the graphics page).
Main Body (6 pages minimum) You must include in-text citations written in APA7 format. This section will consist of a total of six pages. You will discuss each bullet point listed below for your disease/pathogen. Information about the disease/pathogen must be written in the order presented below, and news from these specific sections cannot be combined. Please pay close attention to flow, as your content should flow with smooth transitions between each subject of the disease/pathogen. You cannot use subject headings in the paper. Discuss the pathogen/disease prevalence in the population. (1 page)
Discuss transmission (carriers, vectors, portals of entry) and epidemiology (Any specific age, gender, or environmental relationships). (1 page)
Discuss the disease incubation period and signs and symptoms associated with the human disease caused by this pathogen. (1 page)
Discuss the establishment of diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis for this disease. (1 page)
Discuss disease prevention, such as vaccination, prophylaxis, and avoidance of environmental triggers. (1 page)
