Research-Article Summary

Click on “topics” and a list will appear. Select ONE psychological article concerning adolescence that is interesting to you. This article must be current and dated from at least 2017-2020.
You may also use your course textbook as a resource.
1) Minimum length 300 words (I will be initializing word count) – 25 points
2) Minimum of at least 3 paragraphs – 25 points
3)Proper mechanics – 25 points

double-spaced,
proper capitalization
No acronyms, lists, bullet points, or quotations allowed
4) APA reference style required – 25 points
A sources cited page for references if you use the textbook.
Example:
Boyd, D., & Bee, H. (2019). Lifespan Development 8th edition. Pearson Education.
5) A link (URL) and hyperlink must be provided – 25 points
Mandatory, if a hyperlink is not provided, your paper will not be graded (so that I may select it and go directly to the article you selected).
By providing the link/hyperlink within the body of your writing, you will not have to cite the article.
6)Title of article must be provided – 25 points.
Mandatory – when you introduce the article on adolescence you selected, in the first paragraph of your writing, include the title of the article.
If the title of the article is not provided, the paper will not be graded.
7) What did you learn? – 50 points (please notice the emphasis in points)
The final paragraph of your writing will describe “what you learned.” After reading the article you selected, and reading in your textbook about the same topic, if you did not learn anything new and find anything interesting; start over. Find another topic/article that interests you and where you learn something new.
This is not a summary nor is it a conclusion. It should be written in first person from your perspective.
