Drawing on your own experience, identify a situation where a company’s strategy really made a difference. Use relevant textbook concepts to identify what the strategy was and how it helped the business. What was the company’s strategy and what were the benefits of having a strategy? In Chapter 5, Thompson identifies five generic competitive strategies. Based on your experience, is there one best strategy or combination of strategies for competing in today’s marketplace? Why or why not? (Thompson Ch. 5; 250-375 words.)
Your short paper will provide you with a solid foundation from which to complete your Discussion Forum posts.
