Book Report/Review
Here’s the copy & pasted instructions:
Tell me what book you read : list full title and author.
-Question 1. What was your overall reaction to the book? What was the message the author was trying to get across in writing the book?
-Question 2. Specifically, what did you like about this book and why? Were there any weaknesses in the book that you would like to point out?
-Question 3. Choose two passages/ quotes from the book that resonated with you in some way. Share these passages/quotes (include page number) and explain what you learned or why this information got your attention.
-Question 4. What connection do you see between this book and what we have been learning in class? Provide four specific examples of how something in the book related to information in class lectures/ theories/ readings/ videos/ reports/ research studies—cite at least 4 sources (references don`t have to be in an APA format, but you must clearly note which sources you are referring to by providing a title and an author or mentioning lecture topic).
-Question 5. Do you think this book would be useful to professionals who work with immigrants and refugees in social services setting/ schools/ hospitals/community setting—choose the ones that apply and explain why. If the answer is no, provide detailed explanation as to why not.
-Question 6. Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
