You will write a response that is at least

Your reading response will do the following:
•Choose one specific argument or claim from the reading that you would like to discuss. (Do not give a whole summary of the reading.)
•Explain the author’s argument/claim that you’ve chosen to discuss.
•Raise a challenge, a criticism, or a concern for the author’s argument/claim, and offer reasons in support of it. (Why is it a plausible challenge that an intelligent reader might raise?)
•Consider how the author might reply to your challenge.
•Assess whether the author’s reply succeeds, or whether your challenge stands.(In sum, you can end up agreeing with the author or disagreeing with them. Either way, you should consider possible criticism of their view on the way.

Other than the directions above am giving you complete autonomy with what your argument/claim you want to talk about, but I provided a suggestion below

* I would like for you to discuss the arguments about Mafia, Tribal Group, and Gang. I want to discuss how Herman speaks on how they reasonably think they are doing the moral thing by staying loyal to the group. Something that I somewhat agree with but I want to use the response to discuss how in the face of many setbacks or structural disadvantages people will do what they have to do to survive. Often people who belong to this group do see them succeeding in society and people are self-interested to do things that benefit themselves or those who they care about like their family. It’s not like they truly believe that everything they are doing is right, they are just making the conscious decision to do illegal things to benefit them. You can possibly use an example of someone who is struggling to support their family making the conscious decision to sell drugs because that makes more money than a $7.25 an hour job. Therefore showing that someone people choose to be effectively ignorant of things such as things.
