Legal Comparison Assignment: Advance Directives & Five Wishes Documents

Guidelines for paper completion:

(Simply stating that one seems easier to read or is less complex, etc. is not sufficient; provide a more in-depth response.)

What benefits are there to completing advance directive documents? What impediments to completing (filling out) such a document and orchestrating (seeing that the person’s choices are honored) might be challenging or potentially problematic?

Assume that you have completed one of these forms—describe what steps should be taken to ensure that your wishes will be known and followed—in other words, what would you do with copies of the completed document once you have filled it out, signed it, and had it witnessed?
