Canada should tighten its immigration policies

According to the Canadian encyclopedia, immigration is the most common form of regulating the population in the country. The history provided shows how the Canadian immigration policies have contributed to the high population of the nation. The rising population has brought both positive and negative effects on the country. However, the adverse effects revoke the positive impacts thus; the state needs to tighten its immigration policies.

Consequently, the state has opted to tighten its immigration policies to prevent illegal activities.

Smith argues that the country will come to regret its decision to allow the entry of diverse refugees from different countries. Thereby, the nation needs to prevent the future adverse effects by revisiting the immigration policies or looking for alternative solutions.
