1b.  Based on your understanding of these roles are they consistent or inconsistent with one another?  Why or why not? Be sure to give clear examples to support either position.
1c. Which do you see as the most appropriate for a law enforcement official? Give at least three reasons why you believe this to be the case.
The Crime fighter role is the way that citizens see policing. The think that police main job is to “fight crime” and catch criminals. People with this ideology view cops and soldiers fighting the war of crime and “criminals” as the enemy soldiers. This type of thinking is based on Herbert Packer’s Cr

4a.  (3 Points)  Describe the elements of the formal code of ethics and possible decline in the power of the policing subculture.
a.  Identify and discuss each of these factors.
b.  Of the ones discussed which do you think has had the GREATEST impact on the decline of the police subculture? Why?
c.  In addition to these factors based on your knowledge and reading of this subject identify and discuss one additional factor that you think may also be affecting the subculture of policing? Why do you believe this to be the case?
