I think we need an intelligent parking guidance system using Big Data technology in our
campus. Now, more and more students choose to drive to school every day. And where to
park becomes an annoying problem in our daily life. Since the Wifi has already covered all
over our campus, the message passing has been turned to be quick and efficient. When you
drive into the campus, the system with Big Data analysis will send you the parking situation
and will give you the best suggestion, by considering of your following destination. It is so
cool, isn’t it? And it will save your time on hunting for a parking space. What’s more it will
improve the availability of our park. Today, Big Data is everywhere. So, why not in our
campus park?

It is scare tactics, a kind of fallacies of emotional argument. (72) The writer uses a frightening
outcome to distract people from real issues. Actually, resistance plays more or less a little
role. If resist, they may be able to succeed. But the writer just tells that you will lose although
you resist. So I think it is scare tactics.
2. “It’s the economy, stupid.” (sign on the wall at Bill Clinton’s campaign headquarters)
It is appeals to false authority, a kind of fallacies of ethical argument. (77) The writer,
President Clinton, just means that the audients are stupid but only he is right. He says like
this to make the audients believe that the point is economy, what he tells them, but not the
other things in the audients’ mind.
3. “Make love, not war.” (antiwar slogan popularized during the Vietnam War)
It is either/or choices, a kind of fallacies of emotional argument. (72) There are lots of things
people could ‘make’, not only love and war. Well, the writer here limits the choice to these
two. So what would the audients choose, love or war? Of cause, the audients would like to
choose love.
4. “A chicken in every pot.” (campaign slogan)
It is red herring, a kind of fallacies of logical argument. (84)This promise has nothing to do
with the political view of a presidential candidate. And people could never know his political
competencies and his words could not prove that he deserve the position of President. But
the writer uses this irrelevant fact promise to make the people think he is competent.
