“On Lying to Patients” and Ridley’s response to Lipkin

I have to pick one prompt from the 5 prompts that I was assigned and I decided the one below: Summarize and critique both Mack Lipkin’s piece “On Lying to Patients” and Ridley’s response to Lipkin. When, if ever, is it morally permissible to lie to patients? To what extent do you agree with Lipkin / Ridley and why? According to the questions it has from the prompt or whatever the prompt says that I picked, I have to answer them in essay format. I have put in the files below the requirements for this paper and a sample paper of how this paper has to be done and also I posted the rubric below in the files. For the sources, I put 4 but I am not sure how many this paper is going to need but I just want to let you know it doesn’t have to be four, it could be more or less sources just add however many are necessary and do a work cited for them. When done with this order could I get a plagiarism report. Everything has to be in your own words. I will also post the book pages it’s pages are 71-103 of where you have to look at for this paper so you could be able to answer this questions from the prompt in a essay format and what this paper requires. Also, the requirements for this essay are that (1) You need to cite your sources. *Whenever* you draw information from the text, you need to cite the page number(s) that contained this information. You need to do this even if it is not a direct quote. You also need to cite the page number and not just the name of the author, I put the APA format, but I am not sure what formatting and citation style it could be since they want me to cite it with the page number that contained the information even if its not as a direct quote and do not just cite the name of the author. Your introductory paragraph should tell the reader in a sentence or two the issue that is going to be discussed, the author’s position on the issue, and have a thesis statement explicitly telling the reader what position you’re going to defend. Explain it in a way, and in enough detail, that they can understand what is going on. Fourth, this paper has to be divided into sections and label each section. Fifth, You have to consider an objection to yours view and respond to that objection. What is the best reason someone can give to disagree with you and how would you respond to this objection? To give the best argument for your position, you need to consider the best reason someone might disagree with you, and rebut that objection. Sixth, you really really need to check for spelling and grammatical errors when writing this paper. Seventh, Be precise in the characterization of the arguments and text.
