-Justify why a literature review is the appropriate means of addressing the topic or problem, then search and retrieve the appropriate literature’s, analyze and critique the literature, and create new under-standings of the topic through one or more forms of synthesis.

-apply the critical appraisal and synthesis processes to your practice-focused research question. Present a qualitative and quantitative study that addresses the gaps in the literature about your practice-focused research question.
-This paper should include an introduction/background, presentation of the methods used for the literature review, synthesis of the results on a logical and concise manner, a discussion where you critically appraise the gaps in the literature and propose both a qualitative and quantitative study (e.g., design, sample, setting, and methods) to address the identified gaps in the literature and your practice-focused research question.

Components of paper MUST INCLUDE:

First, the author’s strategy for selecting the literature to be included in the study should be described. The literature is the data of an integrative literature review. Learning about the literature and how it was obtained, including the key-words and databases used. The criteria used for retaining or discarding the literature yielded by the literature searches should also be stated. The description of how the literature was reviewed by the author should be followed by a discussion of how the main ideas and themes from the literature were identified and categorized. Steps taken to verify the validity or authenticity of key ideas and themes that emerged from the analysis should be described, especially for literature reviews of new topics or phenomena for which accepted models and frame works do not yet exist.

Synthesis produces a new model, conceptual framework, or other unique conception informed by the intimate knowledge of the topic. The result of a comprehensive synthesis of literature is that new knowledge or perspective is created
-In the implications for “research and practice” section (MUST BE at least 2-3 pages), you should propose the design and methods (sampling method, instrumentation, data collection, management, and analysis procedures) that could be used for a qualitative and quantitative study to address your practice-focused research question.
