Critical Assignment Information
The assessment for this course includes a 3,000 word critical assignment based on one of the injuries below.
This assignment should feature the evidence base for rehabilitation of your chosen injury (~2000 words) based on current literature with appropriate conclusions drawn from the evidence you present.  This can include tables and figures and should be appropriately referenced as per Formatting Guidelines.  The remaining words should detail a practical rehabilitation programme.
Your essay should include original research articles and avoid reviews where possible.
Choose between one of the following injuries to base your assignment:
1)      Lateral ankle sprain
2)      Ilio-tibial band syndrome
3)      Rotator cuff tear
4)      Medial ligament injury (Knee)
Formatting
This is a critical review but does not require a formal abstract and methodology but there should be an introduction and conclusion.
All reviews should be uploaded as a PDF and not a word document.
Font
Assignments should be typed, double spaced using a font such as Times New Roman or Arial. Font size 12 should be used for the main text. Pages should be numbered sequentially and have your matriculation number as a header.
Title page
Title: this should be as informative as possible. It should not contain any abbreviations.
Matriculation number and module should be included in title page. Your name should not be used.
Referencing
A maximum of 30 references can be used. References in the text should be numbered consecutively in the order in which they are first mentioned, the numerals being given in square brackets, e.g. [22]. References cited in Figure legends or Tables only should be numbered in a sequence determined by the position of the first mention in the text of the Figure or Table. References should be listed in numerical order and the names and initials of all authors of a paper should be given (except where there are seven or more, when only the first three should be listed and et al. added), with the full title of the paper and the source details in full, including the first and last page numbers, e.g.
